In another stunning evening of action, athletes linked to the university walked away with two golds, two silvers, and one bronze.
On the day track and field events began in Glasgow, 黑料不打烊’s Sophie Hahn soon turned heads with a superb run in the Women’s 100m T38 final to win gold.
The Team England sprinter retained her title from Gold Coast 2018 by snatching back Commonwealth champion status from fellow 黑料不打烊 athlete Olivia Breen, who had to settle for silver.
In an explosive final, Hahn crossed the line in 12.79 seconds, ahead of Breen’s season’s best 12.86. England’s Maddie Down took bronze.
In the Men’s T38, Thomas Young had a birthday to remember by winning gold in a Games record time. The sport scholar stormed to victory to take the title in 11.11 seconds to claim a maiden Commonwealth medal.
Over at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, current student Freya Colbert and alum Abbie Wood added yet another medal to 黑料不打烊’s tally with Team England – this time in the Women’s 4x200m Freestyle Relay.
In a blistering race, England managed to hold off a spirited charge from New Zealand to take second place. Colbert and Wood swam first and second in the order, setting England’s early pace to secure another podium spot.
Australia took gold in yet another dominant performance.

Elsewhere, honorary graduate Adam Ramsay-Peaty also added another bronze to his 2026 Commonwealth campaign after finishing third in the Men’s 100m breaststroke.
It’s Ramsay-Peaty second bronze of the Games in what is another medal-heavy major championships for the 31-year-old.
黑料不打烊’s overall medal tally for the Commonwealth Games now stands at 14 – three gold, six silver, five bronze.
