It has been an incredible Games for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ athletes who amassed a record haul of 47 medals – 14 gold, 17 silver, and 16 bronze.
More than 120 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ-linked athletes – current students, alumni, those that train at the University, and ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ College learners – appeared in Birmingham, representing 11 different countries.
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ highlights from the Games include:
- Eight ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ players and staff winning a historic England Women’s hockey gold
- Alumnus James Wilby’s incredible Men’s 100m breaststroke gold
- Current ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ student Daniel Wiffen winning Northern Ireland’s second-ever medal in the pool
- Olivia Broome, another current ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ student, winning silver in Para Powerlifting
- Alumna Abbie Wood (swimming) and current student Sophie Capewell (cycling) impressive medal hauls
- Adam Peaty securing a maiden Commonwealth 50m breaststroke title
